  • Do you accept reservations?
Yes the café does take reservations - Please either call us on 01451 860 339 or email info@theoldprison.co.uk.
  • Wheelchair Access
There are level paths in the cafe and gardens which are suitable for wheelchairs. Please note that due to the nature of the building, the cells and courtroom can only be accessed by wheelchair users from the garden area, however the space is restricted.
  • Are dogs allowed at your venues?
Dogs are welcome in the café and yard providing they are supervised and kept on a lead. In order to preserve the prison cells and courtroom dogs are not allowed in these areas.
  • Are your venues child and baby friendly?
Children are always welcome to come and learn about the heritage of the site and have fun while doing it! We do ask that younger children remain supervised by an adult at all times. The yard does not have a designated play area and ball games are not permitted. However, the outdoor space is there to be explored and enjoyed by all visitors.
  • Do you have Wi-Fi?
We do and the code is on display in the cafe. If you are unable to spot the password, please ask a member of staff. Please be aware that the Wifi can be a little temperamental due to the structure of the old Cotswold stone building and the super thick walls!
  • Is there historical & local information available?
When you visit you will be able to learn about the heritage of the Old Prison and rural life in the Cotswolds through various information boards, videos and audio recordings. For children we also have our “Rat Trail” which takes children around the site searching for hidden answers to our trail questions. Check out our History and Learn pages for more information about the heritage of the site. There is also a fully stocked display of leaflets covering the wider Cotswolds to get ideas for other places to visit!
  • Toilet Accessibility & Changing Facilities
We have a combined baby change and wheelchair friendly toilet available, along with regular male and female bathrooms.
